Yeah it was ruled a slip by everyone except you and Miles. Haha.
I'm with Bilbs here. Gave Khan 11 and think i gave him a share of 12. Maidana had a great start to round 11, but landed little. Last 90 seconds Khan landed about 3 or 4 flush and accurate combinations. Maidana landed little.
Same with the 12th really, except Maidana looked more desperate, and Khan got on his bike a bit more. Still wasn't really a clear winner to the round though, as Khan again landed a few very good combinations.
I think people are scoring for momentum, rather than what actually happened, if that makes sense.

Yeah absolutely. I mentioned that in the 'how did you score it?' thread. 11 and 12 were close rounds. I gave 11 even and 12 just to Maidana but could easily have scored both for Khan. (can't quite remember why I lent to him in 12th now). Lots of people don't score rounds in isolation as they should be scored. I'd be interested to see punch stats for rounds 11 and 12.

Of course Khan "ran"....cept' I'd rather call it good evasive footwork. Khan is much faster than Maidana and he and Freddie knew that coming in and exploited it. Freddie also knew that Khan couldn't stand toe to with Maidana in an in fight and avoided that by keeping the offensive at mid-range and the rest at out-range. In short, Khan had no choice but to keep Maidana at the end of his jab. Everybody knew that comin' in though; if Khan brawled, he would've been destroyed and we saw a silhouette of that in R10.
Khan and Maidana showed a lot of real perseverance against heavy damage in this fight, especially Khan considering his lackluster chin.
