OK, stuff Shane Warne, the cricket is back, and another fabulous early wicket for England, after a review has already saved Shane Watson in the third over. The replacement for Broad, Tremlett got the wicket as well, and Phil Hughes in and out in short shrift.

There's a part of me that would like the Aussies to do well enough to remain in the series, so it goes down to the last test, but sod it, a nice early defence of the Ashes will do me just fine!

Aussies 3 wickets down already. They need to dig in or we are going to roll over them. Doesn't seem all that bad a wicket to me, but clearly less flat than previous wickets. Just sloppy batting really.

The big difference in the Ashes so far is that the top of the Australian order just haven't turned up, and the English bowlers have been competent enough to convert the opportunities thrown their way. It's like watching any Premier League team against my boys West Ham, they're just a bit out of their depth at the moment.

A wag from the Aussie tail but all out for 260 odd is a good effort.

29 for no loss in return. As they say its all about winning sessions. We won them all by the looks of things.

268 should be beatable on this pitch, but lets not count our chickens just yet.
    This is England after all.

A good days work. I would take that score at the start of play, if we can hold it together tomorrow we will be looking strong.

I totally agree with Superheavyrhun, aside from Hussey the top order have been really struggling to hold it together.

As long as Strauss starts producing some good performances as well, as he has been a little shaky, then we should be in a good position tomorrow.
