Pascal scored 2 knockdowns...thats really all he did. He was out fought, out skilled and out boxed. Body language, punch stats and effective shots owned it.

I feel the same way about this fight as I do about the Calzaghe fight - it was a close, but clear, win for Hopkins.

This is way different than calzaghe hopkins to me, pascal was acting like hopkins was in that fight, not throwing shit for the most part and being dirty....and had calzaghe winning that easy, this hop took for me by 2 or 3 points, he basically dominated pascal for all but 3 rounds

The difference between Pascal and Hopkins in those two fights is that in both cases Hopkins was landing the cleaner, more effective punches.

The other MASSIVE difference is, Hopkins landed a million more punches on Pascal. No way those two fights even come close to being similar.

Hopkins landed 127/468 against Calzaghe.
Hopkins landed 171/445 against Pascal.

Clearly Hopkins had a much higher success rate against Pascal. It's also clear the majority think Hopkins was "robbed" whereas the majority feel Hopkins LOST to Calzaghe

I wasn't saying that the two fights were similar in terms of the way they played out, only that I felt the same way regarding the decisions. In both cases I feel that Hopkins won close, but clear decisions. That's the only way I was comparing them.
