Yup....New Year's weekend seems to be a boxing-free zone in terms of matchups that would make it into the comp. Or is it the word you're querying? Fourteen nights (two weeks) is a fortnight.

Its going to be very slow for the next 2-3 weeks. We will be just searching for fights and I'm not sure there will be anything on New Years weekend. Its a long contest though and things will get back going.

Yeah, before it was just ending around this time and starting back the first big fight in January. It wasn't planned, if I remember correctly, it just worked out that way.

yep next time we should probably try to avoid this. To be honest I didn't even give it a seconds thought when we were starting it up. Things get a little better starting January 7th but don't really get rolling again till the weekend of the 21-22. Unfortunate as it kills the momentum of the contest a bit but its not the end of the world, we are going through May.
