    Who promote Mayorga?
What is the poll on a Mayorga vs Cotto fight?

    Mayorga got my vote

Hmmmm I know I'm not the only one giving Mayorga a really good chance.
And after watching DLH/Mayorga pre-fight show special a couple of days ago I was almost convinced he was going to do damage to Oscar

Cotto isn't as fast as he thinks he is, he can't box like I thought he could, he can't jab as good as we thought, and he doesn't have as effective body punching as he should.

    That's my take on Cotto.

Mayorga just beat Michael Walker and you guys think he can not only compete with Miguel Cotto but beat him into submission?!?!?! Just what the fuck are you smoking? Sure Miguel Cotto has had his tough fights, sure he got out sped by Manny Pacquiao and cheated by Margarito and he's had trouble in other fights but Ricardo 'wide swinging, one punch at a time, chain smoking, probably can't legally make 154' Mayorga hasn't really been knocking the top competition dead recently.

Cotto doesn't have to be Willie Pep to outbox Ricardo Mayorga and he doesn't have to be Oscar De la Hoya or Tito Trinidad to hurt him either. Miguel Cotto will touch Mayorga up to the head and to the body, weaken him a bit, and Cotto will coast a bit in rounds allowing Ricardo to throw a billion punches and tire himself out, and then Mayorga will eat some counters, probably have a broken jaw, and then Cotto will finish him off.

Miguel Cotto might not be competing at the very elite level of the sport (like with Pacquiao or Mayweather) but he's still world class and Mayorga hasn't been world class since 2005 vs Piccirillo....oddly enough I think that's the last time he LEGALLY made 154 as well.

    Spanish.

Ricardo saying only Trinidad got his respect, he'll fight Cotto for free, and only Cotto's kids respect him.

Mayorga couldn't make 147 again if he weighed in on the Moon!

You Mayorga fans feel free to be as wrong as you like....Cotto is a boxer/puncher, Manny Steward has a pretty simple task in getting him to at least outbox Mayorga, and hell we don't even know if Mayorga can make 154 legally anymore....he got busted for taking a diuretic vs De la Hoya and that was the last time he fought at 154. Ricardo hasn't improved with age....no matter what you think of Cotto he would always ALWAYS beat Ricardo Mayorga.

Lol yeah he hasn't made 147 since the younger days.
Cotto chin keeps getting tested though and it has been for years.
Can he take some of the shots Oscar, Tito, Mosley have taken??
Cotto is not too hard to hit even when he is backpedaling or skipping round the ring.

Who do you think would win vs Mayorga/Margarito??
After all, Margarito just fought the p4p "1"...

Walker is no world beater but he was a hell of a lot more dangerous than Yuri Foreman...

I love Cotto. I am a Cotto fan and a huge Mayorga fan.

I think it will be a competitive fight that can go either way.

Could Cotto have beaten Vargas at 162 and sent him into retirement ?

    No.

Could Mayorga have outboxed Mosley for a disputed SD win ? No as he clearly was KO'd in the 12th, desptie leading on one scorecard becus the Goddamn ref did NOT sent Mosley to the neutral corner when he knocked Mayorga down !

Mayorga has strength, size, and power, and Cotto has superior boxing skills and a great body attack.

But Cotto is not as good as he once was, and never once was he as good as Tito and Oscar.

Its gonna be a good fight. If it gets made.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

I dont give a crap about all these fools that think they know how every fight will turn out. I just wanna see the damn press confrence for this, that will more than make up for a mismatch(which this fight is not). I wanna see what Mayorga has to say about Cotto taking knees and looking to his corner to stop fights. Gonna be good.

Probably something along the lines of "In Nicaragua, the woman give birth to men in the streets and those men land on their feet, not on their knees looking for their mummy to help them up."

He'll then take a big drag on a cigarette and blow the smoke in Cottos face and he will then point with his arm outstretched in Cottos face and do that load fake laugh and then grab his crotch or lift up his shirt to show his abdominal muscles, then kiss his biceps and probably slap Cotto on the neck which will make Cottos legs go and his promoter will wonder why the fuck they didnt just put him in with Martosian!
