See the Hatton/Mayweather and Hatton/Pacquiao fights. They couldn't even accept that the better fighter and talent won. It was every excuse in the book used. So I expect the same thing here.
I disagree with that. All that was said about the Mayweather fight was that Cortez was a disgrace and Mayweather got away with an awful lot of fouls - use of the forearm, ducking below the waist etc...

Hardly anybody believed the result would have been any different had Hatton have been given a fairer shake anyway.

As for the Hatton - Pacquiao fight, i again fail to see where you are coming from. Most people seems to be in agreement that Hatton's gameplan, or lack of one, was a one of the many factors of his downfall. Don't remember many thinking Pacquiao cheated.

I think you have made the mistake of thinking all Brits unconditionally love all British fighters. As a Brit i would take great pleasure in seeing David Haye put on his arse.
I shouldn't have said all Brits, because there are great posters here such as Skel and even Hattonthehomo along with a few others, but the excuse used by many of Hatton's countrymen are that Joe Cortez was the reason why Hatton lost and Mayweather "cheated" along with using elbows or something like that. Then the Hatton/Pacquiao fight was that Pacquiao "cheated" by weight draining Hatton, although the fight wasn't a catchweight but at the 140 pound limit where Hatton was king, then the excuse it was Pacquiao was on drugs.

Excuses, excuses, and excuses.
