Actually, you can't clump protein shakes as equals. They are very different in value. Most of those shakes are induced with higher calories but there is a protein shake that is low in calories and high in protein. Take an isolate protein shake. When I was competing I would take these once or twice a day with skim milk and a good pharmaceutical grade multivitamin while eating two small meals a day. Separate all your intake(shakes/small meals) about 3 hours apart throughout the day. I cut down from 165 to 119 for my last competition. You'll still have enough energy to workout as hard as you want on this plan.
Very interesting read! It looks like Manny has grown into his body as he's got older and the only difference between now and his fight with Morales 4 years ago is that he doesn't have to lose weight to beat the scales. It's made that he only weighed 1 1/2lbs more against Clottey than he did against Morales.
