Just watching the interviews - the conversation soon comes round to Taylor doesn't it

I couldn't believe that stat where 70% of the guys who beat Phil before the final go on not to win the tournament. Webby another victim to add to that percentage.

its like they said. He's that big a name that beating him is like winning the final in a lot of ways.

Wonder to what scale darts would have grown without Taylor in the game . Certainly wouldn't be anywhere near what it is now

I think that stat shows how much it takes out of you but in reality I dont think that effected Webster at all he played very well maybe bottled it a little in the final set but overall Lewis is just a tad better this moment in time.

That's what made it exciting as well though, as you saw Lewis go ahead, then start to crumble a little when it came back to 4-4, and then it was nip and tuck until the very last leg. Lewis was better, but I wonder if Phil doesn't get back to his all-dominating form of recent years and everything gets tighter around the world's top 20, won't it be an exciting year ahead!

Lewis has a great record against Anderson. Think he's beat him the last half-a-dozen times they've played. If it wasn't bad enough that Lewis could be world champion he will cost me a nice bet.

If you look at it in isolation, yes Anderson's lost to Lewis many more times than he's beaten him, but that's been the same for almost every other match he's played. I think Andy Smith was 6-0 against Anderson as well wasn't he?

The Smith results (four wins) over Anderson were a bit surprising but they were all first to 6 legs in floor tournaments. Lewis has done Anderson on TV a couple of times as well as the other wins.

It is interesting from a betting angle. The higher ranked player and convincing leader of the head-to-head is UNDERDOG. However... fuck statistics.

Difficult one, Lewis has the game to upset Anderson for sure and sometimes he can go missing with the doubles but Anderson looks shit hot right now. Gonna leave it but I do fancy Anderson.
