Rigondeaux is already disrespecting Casey by saying he should not even be in the same ring as him. That he watched a couple of rounds of one of his fights and said he would win this easily.

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

He is now 4/9 shitt!! Might go big on this, this is free money for me, Casey is way out of his depth and seriously If i was to guess at the odds Rigo should be around 1/5 1/6.

I think those odds are a result of Rigondeuxs last fight, which he looked kind of pedestrian. He didnt blow out Cordoba, who got knocked out by Bernard Dunne btw...His opposition prior to that was bland. Also Cordoba dropped him and he isnt a huge puncher. Casey definately has the punchers chance IMO. I dont jump on great amateurs bandwagons this early, the pro game is a different world.
hi lads i wouldnt even put money on this fight. althought Guillermo Rigondeaux is a very good counter puncher casey dosnt give up and hes buckets of energy i watch him fight im limerick there 2 years ago when he was only comming up as a pro and he is a serious puncher and hes confidence much be so hight now after fighting hyland. let the bets begin

Casey was not favoured to win the European title against scheduled opponent Kiko Martinez.
Many were surprised when he beat actual opponent Paulie Hyland for the strap.
Guillermo Rigondeaux is in a different class to either of those fighters.
I would truely love to see Willie Casey win though.

Rigondeaux was off balance when Cordoba hit him with a meaningless punch. He wasn't hurt at all. These cubans because of their loose footwork will ahve a greater tendency to go down when they aren't hurt at all. We've seen it a few times from Gamboa. Casey isn't that big of a puncher, and he really doesn't sit down on his punches that effectively. From what I've seen he has decent power, and decent speed, and he's exciting but that's about it. I think RIgondeaux is going to make him timid after the first few times Rigondeaux hits him. I don't think it was a great performance by Guillermo, but he easily outboxed Cordoba, and should have only lost one or two rounds.

1. I'm implying that As Casey was never favoured to beat Martinez I cannot understand why people see an opportunity against Riggondeaux who is a much more complete fighter than Martinez.
2. Hyland was favoured by many
I disagree that Casey was favoured over Hyland.

Here's the game plan the Rigondeaux used for the second half of the fight against Cordoba.
Same plan Rau'shee used to lose in the first round of the Olympics. In the am's you can get away with it, but in the pros it's hard to look like the effective aggressor when you're still getting hit and getting on the bike even if you are slightly landing more punches. It's clearly an amateur strategy that he hasn't unlearned.
Don't get me wrong, he will wipe the floor with Casey.

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
