They (wolfie/walton) didn't average over 100. They both averaged 92. Which is very good but compared to a 100 average looks mediocre.
Whitlock has improved massively in the past two years. He was a part-timer in the BDO and still made a Lakeside final. He himself says he's improved massively because of the full time practise and British base. He is still yet to win a PDC major though like King. Another player that says he improved massively when making the switch to the more professional PDC.

I'm not knocking the BDO, clearly a few of the top players could compete in the PDC, but two of the last 16 - Bunting and Green - were both PDC players that switched back to the BDO citing the PDC tour is too strong. They are now 6th and 7th in the betting for this Lakeside title
