that doesn't change the fact that the UFC boasts about making nearly half a billion on PPV alone, yet they still continue to pay their fighters peanuts

The UFC is a private company not a public one like HBO. HBO is mandated to release their records to the general public when it comes to PPV buys, and if HBO manages to fudge their numbers and deceiving people, they're looking at an investigation from the SEC and looking at time in the Feds.

White can brag all he wants but unless those numbers are official then I wouldn't pay too much attention.

Sooner rather than later some of the top UFC fighters will start jumping ship. Even the top fighters are only making $250k and the UFC is getting $400mil from PPV?? Most of the mid card guys make $2k-$5k, how the hell they survive on that is beyond me. Plus the UFC is total dicks about outside sponsorship. These poor fighters are trying to make a few extra buck but Dana keeps shutting them down.

I think the difference between the UFC and boxing reguarding money is that all the fighters of the UFC make decent money while its only the very top boxers make millions while all the rest fight for very little.

As a sport I would pick boxing over the UFC and day of the week but as a total package boxing could learn a lot from the UFC.

are you kidding me? main event marquee names in the UFC are making career high paydays of $250,000, hell didn't they say that Brock Lesnar was the only fighter in the history of the sport to get $4 mil for a fight, and that it was an all time high for the company

Chavez Jr is not a very top boxer and he was set to earn $700,000 against Wolak, Angulo was offered about $400,000 against Martinez but turned it down, and those two aren't even star attractions (aside from Chavez in TX and Mexico)

If they're making $400+ million from PPV's then why aren't the top fighters getting purses that compare to top boxers? I think I remember reading that for one of GSP's last fights he earned about $300,000. I'm not sure on that figure, could be higher or lower but for a top fighter it wasn't much.

Where did you read 4 million for Lesnar ?

He made 400,000 against Shane Carwin and Carwin, who was an undefeated powerhouse heavyweight main eventer at the time made 40,000 !

The UFC is RAPING their fighters and have them tied up with very stringent contracts.

    Its utter bullshit.

Dana White is refusing to let Lesnar even do a one night spot for the WWE in Wrestlemania to make a quick pay day.

Honestly I think that may convince Lesnar to tell White and the UFC to get fucked once his contract is up.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
