Why is it in Detroit? Of all places.
Neither of them are stars, they may be good young fighters but that doesn't mean they're even remotely close to being draws.
Except for the fact that St. Louis does seem to support their fighters. I mean Cory Spinks was a draw in St. Louis. But I guess Bradley didn't want to fight in St. Louis.
It probably would have done all right in California too.

I must have totally missed that fight, I don't know what happened and I didn't even realize they'd fought. The last time I've seen Alexander was the Urango fight. I was out of the loop for a while there.
Even beyond that though Detroit makes no sense. I mean its got a boxing history obviously but its a fucking ghost town now and even more so neither guy has any ties to the area.. As far as I know.

I think they are all snowed in atm.Skel you really dont like America it seems. Why dont you bring up something about your precious Khan selling more tickets....
Array
I doubt it has sold that few tickets. This is a solid fight between two Americans on American soil, surely people would be wanting to watch it. If not then buy your tickets you muppets! It makes you wonder who is more stupid, the Yanks who won't go and watch top fighters go at it or the Brits who pay to watch utter shit (Haye/Harrison).

I don't like America![]()
WTF you on about? Just quite silly that a huge fight like this cant even sell 500 tickets, I think America is great for boxing but sometimes some of youre fellow American boxing fans make a big deal about protected Brits/Europeans not coming over to fight over the pond, this illustrates my point that America is actually declining in popularity within boxing while Europe is flourishing.
I would guarantee now if this fight was in Manchester or London you would have five thousand plus at this fight without any marketing at all. That was my point nothing to do with not liking America.
What you talking about my precious Khan??

This fight is in march and we're "pathetic" because it hasnt sold out? What are you on about?? Not to mention we are going through financial troubles, high unemployment etc. You also glorify Khans record like he has faced the top flight guys...lol Malignaggi...Kotelnik and Maidana, yeah big whoop. Edit I just saw its in end of Jan, hmm guess the promotions havent been going full bore, thought it was in March! Its also a nuetral spot kind of far from Bradley home of Cali, and St. Louis Alexanders home town. If they wanted to sell more it should have been in St. Louis.

Idiots! Neutral site?
Home towns, Vegas or Atlantic City are the only site venues for top young fighters. Of course you could pick another large casino venue. Going to a weak economic zone with $400 tickets is just idiocy.
