Maybe the reason there are on 339 tickets sold is because they don't go on sale until tomorrow! Welcome to the Silverdome located in Pontiac, MI

$400.00 for ringside does seem kind of high. $25 dollar tickets probably get you nosebleed section.Heres the seating chart. This is whats wrong with boxing ..its priced too high. $55 bucks and your up in the bleachers. http://www.etix.com/venueResources/t...ingSeating.gif

Oh my bad! I didn't read the date, before I clicked on the "Buy Tickets" link I read "Tickets go on sale Friday" and then this came up. (see pic) The advanced column made me think Friday tomorrow.

That's one good thing about the Brits. They might be genetically challenged, but they do support their fighters. Look at how Hatton and to a lesser extent Calzaghe were able to transport fans half way across the globe to watch a fight. And here are two very good fighters unable to command even a modicum of that kind of support. And that is no dig at the two American fighters here as they have been making all the right noises. Where are the fanbases? It bewilders me, it really does. Okay, not the best location for this fight and it is expensive, but it seems that there are hardly any fans out there.

Not good at all. This will be a quality scrap.

Not really a fair comparison with England being roughly the size of New York. If Hatton fans were Bradley fans driving to Michigan from the California They'd have to drive from England to Turkey.

The economic situation in Detroit is terrible. Why in the fuck would anyone think it a good idea to put a fight there?

It's among the worst places in America at the moment in terms of poverty. It's brutal.

Well maybe the fact that noone lives in Detroit anymore has something to do with it.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Honestly if plane tickets weren't $900 right now, I would book a flight there this minute, this is the kinda stuff that would make for a great Saddo meet-up we could even buy a few homes while we're out there.

I have a friend that was at a trade show in Detroit about a month ago he said downtown was creepy as hell, and like nothing he had ever seen. It wasn't like there were thugs, there was NOONE there it was like a scene from a post apocalyptic movie. All the businesses were boarded up, lights were out everywhere. It's just a wasteland.

Why they would book a flight there I have no idea.

Weather for tomorrow night 12°F (-11°C) With snow flurries.

Dude, I'll throw $50 CDN down on a house in Detroit. We'll catch the fight and throw a rager at our pad afterwards.

Fuck, that'd almost be worth the airfare.

As for Detroit, I have a couple of friends who went there about a year ago and absolutely loved it. They are... odd.
