He was adhad
He was a shadow of himself coming into the fight though, but I still don't think he can mix with the worlds best.
Had a lot of problems pre fight by all accounts. Broke up with his missus, training wasn't going well apparently and some other stuff going. He had an off night but, regardless, if they fought again it would be the same result. Would finish earlier imo. Mick was unusually cautious in the first two rounds but when he did let his hands go, Mitchell looked like a rabbit in the headlights.
The fight won't happen anyway. Mick's moved on to bigger fights and there is absolutely nothing to gain from a rematch.
Did he not call out Murray last week as well? I think he just wants a payday

Mitchell is a talented fighter and can work his way up and earn a world title shot. He would give Murray a good fight.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I don't think he's mad for wanting to try and avenge it. I have no idea what he was playing at that night but his trainer said he wasn't taking training seriously. If there is any truth in that then I'd like to see him prove himself again at the higher level and maybe go for the rematch. One wonders how you would fail to train correctly when you've been granted a world title shot in the one place you've dreamt of fighting your entire career though.
Exactly..... I do feel for Mitchell, he fell shit out of luck with hand problems and to be honest that's probably why he never made Champ at Super featherweight. For me though, he gets bullied at Lightweight. Murry would beat him up, taking 3 or 4 rounds longer than Katsidis took.
Mitchell made a great great move joining up with Jimmy Tibs, so I was disappointed to hear about the training and things. Would like to see him get it together no doubt.
good on him
id like to see him give it another go

I reckon all that "Mitchell didn't train properly" is a load of spin bollocks. He completely shit himself against Katsidis. I was genuinely shocked how badly he folded considering I believed he was the opposite of a bottler.
I thought he would beat Murray before the Kats fight. If he gets a couple of confidence boosters then maybe he still can. Long way back for him now though.

Given that I've heard that Kev has been following the Ricky Hatton hotel room nutritional programme since the fight in May, I think that something else is speaking for him here![]()
the best way (or one of the best ways) for mitchel to get back to the level he was at before the katsidis fight would be to fight katsidis again and win
if i was kev, id get straight back in the ring with him
unless he is a coke head, then maybe dont bother
