He should rematch Prescott. The fact that he can't seem to find a decent opponent and that Prescott wants to fight him, indicates that Khan really doesn't want to try and avenge an extremely humiliating defeat.

According to Prescott he's Khan-tucky Fried Chicken to fight him.![]()
agreed it would be an easy seller - and one I have been saying for some time I would love to see. I won't pay for Mccloskey if he is opponent.
Personally I don't see how Khan would be worried by Prescott as he is a class above him - but then again I have never been in the situation Khan has been in to know how you would feel about facing a guy who had brutally kayoed you.
But at the same time if I was confident in my ability as Khan appears to be I would want to avenge a defeat such as that to wipe the slate clean and prove it was a fluke.
Lennox did it.
Do you reckon it's Khans management who dont want him anywhere near Prescott as maybe think he cant handle it mentally ??
who knows
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
If the PPV was gonna be that good the fight would have already been signed. Fact is, Prescott got totally schooled by Kevin Mitchell on Sky, who then failed miserably when upped to world-class.
Barring Prescott's "1 in 100" night against a novice Khan he's a borderline journeyman. McCloskey would beat him 10 out of 10.

To be honest Khan has suppassed this loss and proven alot of people including me wrong.
but saying all that it is still unfinished buisness and he should rematch him to just show it was a bad night at the office.
Lennox Lewis avenged all his losses and no one says yeah he was good but he did get KO'd by etc etc
so from a legacy point of view why not it would still sell quite well at this point in time IMHO
Styles make fights. Prescott did him once I think he could do him again. He also has a massive psychological advantage.
I actually do think car is scared of him.
I suppose. I just wonder what would happen if Khan did beat him. People would still have their doubts about him and his punch resistance. There'll always be someone else waiting in the wings who would potentially beat Khan.
If he beat Prescott, there would be people saying he's scared of Ortiz or Alexander or whoever else.
It's only a month since he beat Maidana, who's probably the most dangerous fighter at 140, and people are already talking about how he's scared of getting ko'd again by Prescott.
I think Khan needs to fight everyone at 140 in the same night. He should cut out this one fight at a time bullshit and just go for broke.

I think Prescott would need to get a few wins under his belt first to even earn a fight with Khan.
But box office it would be a money spinner.
Balls
Yeah of course i'd watch it. I will watch Khan's next fight whoever the opponent is. I don't think avenging the loss is such a big deal though. There's an endless list of "great" fighters with blemishes on their record.
Lennox rematched McCall because the vacant WBC title was on the line. And Rahman was an immediate rematch for all the titles. The opponent has to offer something.
Prescott offers Khan nothing. I don't think it sells any better than the already mentioned possible opponents.

With the proper marketing, I think it could sell better. Marketing a PPV to the casual fan, who doesn't realize the level of improvement by Khan, the rematch with Prescott has an easily exploited dramatic factor missing with all the other opponents.
But the risk/reward factor might not be worth it. I'd agree that it could be a tough fight for Khan - if he let it.
Pac didnt avenge his KO losses to bums and it hasnt affected his standing much but if I were Khan Id want to get a win over Prescott just to show how much I'd improved.
Its a fighter pride and if someone blows you away in a round and continues to call you out and curse you in public, the problem isnt going to go away until you put it right. Khan should forget arguing about money against Peterson and Mcclosky etc and man up for a change. Put Prescot in his place then fight the Bradley - Alexander winner.
