    What's that sound?

Yes it's unmistakeable. I do believe it is the sound of at least on little baby girl crying.

I remember this site back in the day. The posters were very very knowledgeable about the sport, there was great banter, it was alot of fun. The new breed of poster just doesn't stack up.

No contest has obviously never read any of my posts. Because if she had she would see that the reason why i'm not just annoying, but very fucking annoying is because the very vast majority of the time I do back all my points up with a degree of knowledge not to mention evidence/links.

Now to answer the question 'what have I done?' Well hang on isn't this a boxing forum where people talk about boxing? I'm very flattered that you'd want to turn this into a forum about my life and achievements but I don't think others would share your enthusiasm. The other 2 problems with going down that route is that one it's taking the thread off topic and two you wouldn't believe me anyway. But why don't you tell us all what you've done Daxx? I myself couldn't give a shit but you never know someone reading this might give a damn about your life and I'm sure it wouldn't take you very long to list anything interesting that you've ever done. I'm guessing you judge others by your own standard and thats why you think everyone else has a bland, uneventful life.

Do I need to go into detail about Duddy? The guy has never set the world a light. He doesn't posses great knock out power, speed or technical ability. He's been talked up by the media as benig something but never really delivered the hype in the ring. Now he has realized that instead of trying to push on, he's hung em up and slumped off. Like I said, he's realized he's not as good as he was billed and now he's fucked off. And I wish a whole host of other boxers would do the same.

Now stop crying like a bitch.

Daxx is a very well respected boxing journalist, enthusiast and trainer.

To be honest I don't really understand your disdain for Duddy. He isn't or was he ever an exceptional fighter. But he was an honest fighter, who went in there and was torn asunder for our entertainment. He was hyped not because of his talents, but because of his marketability, a direct result of his likeable nature.
I also don't understand why you wish many more boxers would leave. Boxing would be a barren wasteland if it were just the impeccable elite fighters- remember they retire too.

He ain't respected by me. He don't seem to have a clue.

I'm into boxing not marketability and hype. I like to watch good skillful boxing. If you don't have it don't get in the ring and fight. Go and join the UFC.

    A clue about what?
He's not a bad fighter. Certainly not "A" level, but he's not a journeyman nor is he a no hoper. He's what I'd call a working fighter- a guy who can make a comfortable living off fight purses. If all working fighters put in the effort Duddy did, I feel it would actually benefit our sport and make it more entertaining.

As for your comment on the UFC, if any elite boxer went to the UFC they would be promptly taken down and beaten. Different sports my friend.

My god like i said in a previous post today. The new breed of poster here doesn't cut it against the people on here back in the old days.

My point about the ufc which majestically flew over your head was that if you want to get paid well for giving the public the entertainment of having your face smashed in go and join the UFC.

My enjoyment of boxing doesn't come from one guy getting mauled half to death (if it was I wouldn't watch boxing I'd watch UFC more) I like boxing for it's skill and tactical elements.

    Duddy was lacking.

The reason why the best fighters rarely fight each other is because they're is always some bum like Duddy that they go and smash to pieces and make a load of money out of it. If there was less of these fighters about chances are you'd see more interesting and evenly matched fights.

But you ain't interested in that you just want to see some clown get destroyed on national tv in a one sided battering.

I thought we were having a reasonable conversation
And sir, I have been here sometime, I am not a new poster

You are fundamentally wrong there. The UFC or MMA as a sport, despite its growing popularity and success does not pay nearly as well as boxing. If a person were pursuing a combat sport sheerly for the money, boxing is where they should stay.

Indeed Duddy was lacking in strategic and technical ability, however I do not believe anyone physically manipulated you into watching his fights. There will always be a contingent that follow boxing for the gore, for the animalistic thrill of seeing two men take to the trenches. Let them watch a Duddy fight, if the man is willing and well paid. But that does not force you to sit through this dreadful boxing you so clearly despise.

As I detailed earlier Duddy is not a bum. Far from the upper echelons of the sport, but far from a bum.
    Poor posting Hornfinger.

Sad to see him go but I thought his last effort was a good account of himself. He was always just a guy with a shitload of heart, decent chin and limited skills. He always put on a good show but it's always nice to see a guy go out when he's still somewhat relevent... I wish him the best. I enjoyed his fights.

He was in 2 FOTY candidates, you twat. Against Yori Boy and JCC Jr. I dont see why a guy who never trash talked, gave good efforts, and was never in any controversy out of the ring, bothers you. Your just a front runner type I guess who can only appreciate guys who are p4p top 10.

And when you look at it the guiys has fought opponents with a combined record of 586-126-25...Pretty decent numbers IMo,,,,Yes no worl beaters and no prime champions etc but still shows his opp was not all shit.....You hit the nail on the head though....The guy gave good efforts and never trash talked anyone

You actually considered a one-sided fight like Chavez-Duddy to be a FOTY candidate? Your lust for mediocre Irish fighters is just shameful.

It was a good fight I've seen a few people mention it in the running, that was earlier in the year before some better fights came along. It was closer than the damn cards thats for sure. One guy had it 116-112 which was about right to me. The other two had it way off. But you would probably agree with the other judges because you like to embelish anything JCC jr does. Look at his record he's hasnt fought opponents above what Duddy has fought, shit he would have lost to Yory Boy a few years back. You even think Omar Chavez is good he hasnt fought anyone yet.Do me a favor and go look at his opponents w/l record. He's 25-0 and he just fought a 5-2 guy, lol what a joke. JCC jr has 2 losses but the judges like to help him in fights. Fucking Vanda beat him lol.... Vanda. Even the Mexicans were booing that decision.
