I don't think he's scared of Ortiz, Alexander maybe. Maidana was very very limited.

Earn a fight with Khan? Khan's hardly fighting elite opposition. He's looking for any old bum.
Maidana is a much better fighter than Prescott. Khan will always be in with a chance of being ko'd by a puncher. That will never change, regardless of how many times he beats a Prescott or a Maidana style of fighter.

Disagree about him looking for any old bum. Every fighter he's looked at as a possible ooponent beat Prescott 9 times out of 10.

Seen as though he can't fight Alexander or Bradley, he is pretty limited.
Really ? because i don't think Marcos Maidana is that good, yes he's tough/durable and he has alot of physical strength. But he's very crude fighter with no real boxing skills, he throws mostly wide/wild punches, he doesn't really use the jab. He basically just come's forward in a straight line swinging punches.

So i fail to see how he's much better than Breidis Prescott, infact i'd say there pretty much the same. Except Breidis Prescott can use the jab, he rocked Amir Khan with the first jab he threw, plus he has more explosive power than Marcos Maidana.

Marcos Maidana is a good puncher, but he throws alot of arm punches. Which is why he couldn't put Amir Khan away, if Breidis Prescott gets Amir Khan in trouble. He will finish him because he's explosive and he has the height so he gets the leverage.

Amir Khan faded against Andriy Kotelnik down the stretch, but Andriy Kotelnik couldn't finish him because he has very mediocre power. He faded against Marcos Maidana but he couldn't finish him either, because as i said he throws alot of arm punches, plus he smothered his work too much.

Mark my words if Breidis Prescott survives the early onslaught, he can easily get to Amir Khan late on. And hell Breidis Prescott might even get him early on, Marcos Maidana was able to catch him early on and rock him.

Im not really that sold on Amir Khan's so called big improvement's, and the fighter's Marcos Maidana beat, i think Breidis Prescott could beat them no problem except for maybe Victor Ortiz, but that would depend on how Victor Ortiz's mental strength is going into the fight.
Well i'll try logic here....

Maidana stopped Ortiz and Cayo. Lost a questionable decision to Kotelnik and was only a knockdown and a points deduction away from beating Khan. He's fought 4 top 10/15 fighters and he's never clearly lost, despite being supposedly really mediocre.

Prescott hit the lottery against Khan. Since then he's lost twice to two pretty mediocre fighters.

I'd say Maidana was a much better fighter. They might share similar technical deficiencies, but Maidana works better with what he has.
