Higher beings? Yes, I think they exist 100% and have been here plenty of times.

What if one took over a snake for a while and had a little chat with you .

I always thought that was the higher being that Kel may be referring too. A guy from above doing all those tricks and sending messages to Moses and Jesus so he could rule the world, then got bored and left us.
