Team McCloskey reveal (in detail) why fight with Khan is off

Double payday sounds perfectly reasonable, however, McCloskey's best payday to date is probably about £30,000, so £60,000 for facing Khan isn't exactly life changing money, is it? He could make more than that with a few defences of the Euro title, in winnable fights.

I believe the main problem with that deal is the rematch options. If McCloskey wins.

Somebody seriously needs to tap him on the shoulder, whisper in his ear and remind him "your Paul McCloskey. Your not winning"

In that case there is no need to take the fight, right? He might as well make that money defending his Euro title

Unless Calzaghe makes a return and is in need of an opponent what other chance does McCloskey have of actually being the main event on a PPV show?

What does PPV matter if you're not getting any money for it? And even worse, like you said, gets slaughtered in a round.
