It also depends on the document as well if it can be edited or not... if you can click and hold with the mouse, drag it down through the text, then copy the text into another program like word or notepad, then you should be able to edit it with a program... I just mention it though as some PDF's are kind of saved as images of text instead of actual text, and those can't be edited.
