Morales over Maidana by UD. And I wouldn't even consider it much of an upset. The hype on Maidana has gone completely over board. Morales I think still has enough to deal with the wide punching Maidana. Maidana hits hard. But his power is some what overrated. It's not the devastating one-punch power it's made out to be. One look at Maidana's past fights and it shows he scores his stoppages by accumulation. Obviously it's not in Morales best interest to trade with Maidana. And I don't see him doing that. Morales is so shot. He can't even erect himself on his spaghetti legs when he gets punched lightly. He is going to try to do a repeat performance like Khan, but it is not going to work. He sees blueprint, adn I just see roadkill.

Khan took huge shots from Maidana. And if you don't think Maidana has 1 punch power. watch round 1 of Maidana/Ortiz again, round 10 or Maidana/Khan or watch him pummel Cayo in 6 with powerful bodywork.

Khan was in the best shape of his life for the Maidana fight, and it showed. My hat goes off to him for a gutsy performance.

I did. Ortiz got up. Con survived. Thank you for proving my point. I'm not saying he don't hit hard. Just saying he needs accumulation to get his stoppages. The rest has done Morales good. People gonna point to his recent fights and say he hasn't looked great. That's fine. Morales don't care. He don't do shit for others sake. He does shit for himself. He's always been like that. He knew he could beat Lorenzo, Alfaro and Limond just by going through the motions. So that's pretty much what he did. Damn the critics. He don't care. Morales ain't stupid. He knows he can't beat Maidana fighting the way he did the others. He's a proud man. He ain't going out there to lay down or make a fool of himself. He's going there to win.

i do think erik is confident of winning this, i dont think this is just a money fight considering maidana is not a popular fighter anyway.
