I wish Barrera would retire. I saw his 1st fight in the US (his 22nd overall) when he had just turned 18 and he was really special. It isn't right to watch him stay around and lose to guys that he would've run out of the ring in his prime.

"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
Barrera second round TKO
Class start at 6:00.
Barrera hasnt opened up like that in a while. 22 years after his debut at flyweight in 1989, knocking out a light welter in 2 rounds. Good stuff.
Thank you for the link.
That was a good performance by Marco against a game club fighter.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
wow thanks for the link really enjoyed that agree with game havnt seen him do that in years![]()
can't say the first knock down wasn't sharp and a flash of the old.
cant' really blame Barrera for not finishing him sooner as arias kep twisting and turning and trying to hold.
Which leads me to my next point of younger fighters learning what not to do under pressure - don't turn away or you will get whacked up the head.
Thing is with great fighters, those moments of brilliance that made them great are still there...it's just the consistency is no longer there.
He stopped the guy in front of him, end of.![]()
