Hate is a very strong word. I don't hate him. I can just see through the bullshit. I could post quotes that he has made from the past couple of years and provide you with information regarding these quotes but I have a feeling you may spontaneously combust at the thought and research that would've gone into the post.

    Yup, 1-0 to you.

I'm admitting defeat. Your boxing knowledge and expertise has blown me away. I simply can't compete on your level.

its not my knowledge of boxing that has got me the advantage dude (I know you love it when i call you dude), its my objective view point on the haye wlad negotiation saga and its your passionate dislike for haye that has let you down

Can't believe you were about to get into a boxing knowledge argument with Koppas. Probably best to argue you about things you know about. Like threads on bumming...that appeared to be your forte.

""I will knock out both Klitschkos in 2010"

    - Either I was asleep when this happened or it just didn't.

“Adam Booth and my team are trying hard to get me a quality opponent.

    - This was shortly before he announced he was fighting Audley Harrison.

"I'm looking forward to cleaning up the division"

    - This was said after he fought Nikolai Valuev. Since then he has fought an over the hill John Ruiz and an ongoing joke in Audley Harrison whilst, in between this, pulling out of negotiations with Wladimir. One of the fighters he claimed he would knock out in the very same year. He is due to retire in October. Not sure who has done the clearing up here, he must have a maid.

" He just wants safe fights at no risk against old fighters"

    - This is what his camp had the audactity to say about Vitali. Hayes fights at heavyweight: Barrett, 37. Valuev, 36. Ruiz, 38. Harrison, 39. As you can see, Haye doesn't go near old fighters...

"The Klits avoided John Ruiz for ten years and I beat him".
    - This would be the 38 year Ruiz who is a shadow of his former, world class self.

"Dont hide come and fight. Why are you running for....."
    - This was said during the Haye/Wlad face to face in 2008. Haye pulled out of the fight...

There are many, MANY others but I think I have made my point. I feel dirty for having to go over old ground here (sorry Saddos) but it seems that some people need to be educated to a certain degree in boxing knowledge basics.

The best matchup that could happen as others have said minus Adamek and the Klts if this does come off. Will wait until it's signed and all official, but sounds good.

THIS is the main point of this thread. Unless I'm wrong, it had NOTHING to do with Haye fighting any Klitschko. The mods should make a permanent Haye/Klitschko thread so we don't have to read through all the hate from both sides every time one of the two boxers appears in a thread title.

Haye v. Povetkin is a great heavyweight fight. Povetkin turned down an opportunity to fight a Klitschko in the past, but maybe he'd be more amenable to fighting Haye. I want to see Haye get hit by a heavyweight. Povetkin has the skills to get his hands on Haye at least at some point during the fight. It'll be good. I hope it happens.

Chagaev wouldn't be a bad test though either. Is there a reason that Haye couldn't fight Chagaev in Germany? Isn't that where the Valuev fight was?

Povetkin or Chagaev would be Haye's best opponent to date.

Think it comes down to money. The Valuev fight was the best money fight at the time, so he went to Germany. Fighting Chagaev in Germany wouldn't draw much interest. In the UK, it makes alot more money at the gate, as plenty of Brits will go see Haye, much more so than Germans would go see Chagaev. I think Povetkin might be the slightly better opponent, just because he's undefeated and his record isn't too bad. Chagaev looks on the slide to me, and doesn't have the speed or power to trouble Haye IMO.

Sauerland is just trying to hold on to the WBA belt any way he can. If a fight vs Povetkin actually comes off you can bet Sauerland will have options on the winner even if it isn't Povetkin.

If you wonder what that means for the division just take a gander at how many Sauerland fighters have been willing to fight either Klitschko brother.

Yeah, can't blame him though. It's a good move that makes all round sense.

Sauerland already has options on Haye...just for one more fight I believe. If this fight goes down (I have my doubts) their allegiances will be with Povetkin. Can't blame him there. Excellent point on the unwillingness of Sauerland fighters to face either brother.

This is the best fight out there apart from them fighting a Klitschko. I'd love to see it but it seems too good to be true.

    I favor Haye slightly.

Not a chance on earth Haye will enter into a contract that gives Sauerland further options on him. IMO he destroys Povetkin in a quicker version of the Ruiz fight but that isn't the point here. Haye and Booth are way too good business wise to let this happen.

In fact I wouldn't be surprised if some sort of agreement had been made between team Haye and team Klit that if Haye gets Sauerland out of the picture by fighting his next opponent to sever ties with them and also kills the "Mandatory" bird with the same stone, Wlad would have a fight that would get him a lot of exposure in Britain against an opponent he can look spectacular against in Chisora because even with Wlads questionable chin, Chisora would have to land lots of shots to stop him and we all know that won't happen so Wlad can open up against Jizora and really look good in the process. Meanwhile both teams slag each other off in the press and blame each other for the fight not happening when really it just needs both men to win their next fights to become a reality.

Just a theory that has been rattling round in my mind for the last week or so but boxing is a business and to me it wouldn't surprise me at all if this was the case.

Povetkin is more technically skilled, he's not the better natural athlete, but I wouldn't be shocked if Alexander won. I think the only reason that people would be shocked if he won is due to his poor competition recently, but he's getting used to a new trainer and has had a few injuries. If Atlas just has him pump the jab and look to counter the right cross it should be fairly easy to win.

That being said, I don't think Povetkin has all that great of a chin.

As for the WBA title holder and his manager being "great businessmen" rjjtszyu, I guess....they certainly have been more concerned with making money than proving anything in the division.
