Donaire being over weight is not an issue right now. He's going to make weight easy. Beat Montiel by MD the KO Christian Mijares, before he move up to 122. In which is not no big name opponents.

Both guys are very likeable. Donaire has been rated highly by everyone (much to Bilbo's dismay) and this is his first chance to prove his worthiness of those lofty rankings. I think he has more to his arsenal and like him to KO Montiel in a good fight. I could also see Donaire not engaging Montiel very much and using his movement and speed to win rounds without taking too many risks.
Montiel gets rocked huge early. Montiels speed and coming under surprises Donaire big. Think he'll hurt him and get Donaire into a place he has never had to fight out of with a Champion of this depth and caliber. Montiel Tko late for me.
I think this is the fight where Donaire will finally justify his p4p status. He's done fuck all for three years and imo on acheivements should even be in the top 20, but on talent he's a formidable force, not to mention much bigger than his opponents.
Were their sizes equal I'd give Montiel a great chance but I think he just won't be effective and will get stopped in the late rounds.
Of course, I'd love to be proven wrong so I post the ' I fucking told you he never top 5 p4p' thread I've been waiting for ever since he knocked out Darchinyan.
But the guy has skills no doubt. If he wins well I will get off his case.
Montiel stops him early in a short war. Donaire blames the loss on his father not loving him no more
Montiel by decision. I think it will be a very cagey first half of the fight with both fighters being very cautious, because both can turn the lights out just like that. I just feel Montiel will come on stronger the further it goes. Havin said that, both are absolutely tremendous fighters and it really could go either way. Very, very good fight this.
Alright. Time to brag now. Who came close?
I did not. I predicted 11 rd. TKO

It went how I thought it would, although I expected Montiel to last 6 or 7 rounds.
Donaire looked brilliant though, and it was a sensational statement to make.
