That's a great post there Ice. I was one of the ones who was doing Tabata intervals on the heavy bag (8 rounds of 20 sec work/10 sec rest). And for some reason I didnt see too much improvement.
A guy who I have alot of respect for at my gym told me not to worry about intervals until I could run 2 miles under 12 minutes. Which I can't. And now I know why!
well i am very vocal about no lsd running but this has made me change my mind, add some nagging injuries and well you see what i am getting at? a slower yet longer run of injury free training will allow you to train at a higher rate eventually. walking burns calories, so does running but its easier to run 3 miles time wise than to horse around walking....yet a few long walks may be better than opting to run 3 miles on day one...
Thats why I invented the Vertirun, Gravity takes no prisoners with bad technique. Its in the final weeks of testing, but theres still another year of testing at the Uni. But with the results we have, we can go with it. Been told its the best bit of kit ever, even if I say so myself![]()

Sounds exciting Scrap. Picked up a bad foot injury last year which put me out for a month, Although I believe it was the footwear I was wearing, it's so easy to pick up little niggles running on the roads.
