Matt Skelton is no mug.
He will fight hard.
Has a good chin.
Can play tough ruff house tactics.
Danny Williams might blow more cold than hot in the rematch.
Anyway...he is not good in rematches.

Think you could be right. It will be a close fight I reckon and I am hoping Skelton beats Williams as I feel he has more to offer in the future. I reckon we have seen the best of Williams already but Skelton still has yet to show us what he can really do. Its a good night of boxing that ITV are showin - Khan and Macranelli in action as well. I like big Enzo and he has got a bright future ahead of him. Lets hope its a good show.
try telling that to Julius FrancisOriginally Posted by hardrock
the first fight was close so its still a pickem... must say that Danny didnt look that good last time out all be it short notice.
no way! ive got money on danny! i just cant see him losing skelton was out on his feet in the 12th and i know it was close but trust me danny will get this one in the bag!COME ON DANNY!Originally Posted by hardrock
I think Skelton's thinking about this fight will be his downfall. He's been telling people how he's looking to do more boxing and less scrapping in the rematch, and I think it might detract from his real strength which is getting in his opponents face and brutalising him.
As Skelton looks to box, Williams will stick to the plan that got him the first fight. I'd reckon a stoppage around 9 or 10.
It better go some distance anyway, I demand my moneysworth for my ticket.
agree i want danny to win.Originally Posted by tam seddon

Danny on form, would whip Skelton. Problem is only Danny can decide that! Not a fighter I would bet my hard earned money on.Originally Posted by Lords Gym
i agree. matt skelton has more skill and has more power.
MATT DOESN'T HAVE A GOOD CHIN, WHEN DANNY LANDED HIS A HARD RIGHT AT THE END OF THE FIGHT, SKELTONS LEGS WENT.
PLUS I HAVE SEEN HIM GET KTFO IN K-1 BY JEROME LEBANNER! (by punches)
here's the video

Come on, we are talking about the man who defeated the great Audley Harrison and gave Samil Sam (the wobblest heavyweight ever) a run for his money.
Sarcasm aside, i think Danny has as much chance as any to getting a belt in this flat division.
Skelton is good, but he just ain't in Danny's league. He is a stepping stone to bigger things for Danny.
Anyone catch the story on the BBC that the winner is to get a fight against Valuev. I know the rumours circulated last time out too, but either way, I hope they have a reinforced ring!
Yer just read it. I personally think this will come off.
Danny would be seen as a good opponent for Valuev. He is not world class, but has a large British following (mainly cause we have no one else). So it would be a good earner, with little threat to Valuev belt.
