I remember I felt a twang of old metal then too!
Strange I dont get upset over most of the scenes you guys have mentioned.
I get very emotional listening to Scotland the brave and any movies to do with any kind of Scottish heroism. (strange being born in England). But the Maclannen genes in my family and Templar links from long ago have got me.
Im just about taken back to a time when I was drumming in battle and had all my brothers cut down around me with no hope left, its very vivid I can still play the snare to this song too.
This kills me and lifts me like it happened yesterday...
I always get something in my eye at the end of Braveheart when he yells out freedom.![]()
You should read 'Born in Blood' (its about how the Templars became the Freemasons) and it explains what happens to Longshanks' gay son the one whose lover was literally thrown out of the castle. Long story short he wasn't well liked and when things came crashing down around him he ended up with a red hot fire poker up the shitter.
....Well that was a bit off topic but just some side info that I thought you should be privy to.
The end of Deerhunter, where DeNiro says "To Nick" and they all toast him and then Cavatina plays whilst showing all the flashbacks
And the end of Philadelphia the bit where they show video of him as a kid - Neil Young's voice is haunting!
God is a concept, By which we can measure, Our pain, I'll say it again, God is a concept, By which we can measure, Our pain, I don't believe in magic, I don't believe in I-ching, I don't believe in bible, I don't believe in tarot, I don't believe in Hitler, I don't believe in Jesus, I don't believe in Kennedy, I don't believe in Buddha, I don't believe in mantra, I don't believe in Gita, I don't believe in yoga, I don't believe in kings, I don't believe in Elvis, I don't believe in Zimmerman, I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me!!
One of my fav. movies all time...
For those who have struggled in life but no matter the circumstances and no matter how hard life got you lived past it and you got yourself to a better place by working hard and no giving up.
The words that get me bawling like a fool is when the old man tells him he got the job and then he says "Was it as easy as it looked?" awwww fuck! I just about lose it.
Because no one knows the struggles no one knows how hard it was for you to accomplish what you did.
No fucken way surely I thought I was the only one who remembered this episode.
I used to watch Fresh Prince religiously all the time...
Really strong scene and one of the more serious episodes that was done.
True enough. Except for documentaries few films are.
Even then history as has been taught is also shit in that it is very one sided; we get the written point of view from the winners in battles and it is always justified through their story. When you read the natives of each countries first accounts and their initial intentions; you get to see what murderous unjust people many of our forefathers were. As usual they had an excuse sold to them by their own rulers and they carried out the dirty work with a built in excuse.

I have only cried twice in my life that I can remember. The only movie was called "edge of America" about Native American Girl's bsaketball.....go figure.
