No but it was on the main board so anybody could have read it and if you were from that community then you would not like it. I have never heard the term Pikey until I watched the film Snatch and it was used in a derogatory way in there.

I do and don't agree with you.

Gypsy's are not actually a race. But they still actively try to set themselves apart and they do see themselves as a breed apart. Their customs, traditions and even morals are vastly different than ours and I an completely comprehend why people can dislike them.

I would also like to add that I have seen travellers play the race card on numerous occasions to tilt odds in their favour. You can't have butter on both sides, you can't complain that you are discriminated one day and then belittle and in some cases intimidate so called settled" people.

If Tynkers are of a specific gene pool, how can they not be considered an Ethnic group?

For example, just because Hindu speaking Indians and Romanian Gypsies practically speak the same language, it doesn't mean they fall into the same ethnic group, does it.
