Just watched this. Al Bernstein intervewing both fighters.

After searching a bit, I found Bernstein on twitter from over a week ago, saying he noticed a big size difference between the Two. That Mayorga looks fit and will have no problem making weight and also that he didnt touch a cigarette while he was in his company

Cotto will smoothen and flatten Mayorga's crater face with constant power jabs.

    right?

I wont need any excuses. When the 38 year old Mayorga stops Cotto it will just prove how underrated he has been. What it means for Cotto I dont know? Overrated perhaps?

Al Bonnani, Don Kings right hand man has stuck this training camp out with Ricardo which tells me he is knuckling down, as Bonanni has walked out of Mayorgas camps in the past because he either wasnt turning up or not listening when he was there.

Mike is in the hall of fame, he unified a division, was linear champ, made 7 defences of the unified title, youngest ever champ.

Cotto hasn't even been the best in any weight he's fought at. Even Mayorga has managed that

Miguel Cotto is a 3 division champion, former LINEAL WELTERWEIGHT WORLD CHAMPION, hello that's why Floyd is now the LINEAL WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION, Floyd beat Shane, Shane beat Margarito, Antonio "beat" Cotto , and sorry the YOUNGEST CHAMP EVER hails from Puerto Rico also, his name is Wilfred Benitez (champion at 17 not 21), Tyson was the youngest HW champion, even Vargas managed to do that feat in his own weight class (he's the younger Jr. Middleweight champion ever), so lets rack up the "names" Tyson has on his record and who he beat to unify the division, cause well Cotto might have losses but he never has been in a loss that will forever be billed "THE BIGGEST UPSET IN THE HISTORY OF THE SPORT", anywho, i think you should quit watching boxing you should just switch over to animal planet and watch Tyson play with his little birds

Miguel Cotto was never lineal welterweight champion, I'm pretty sure of that. He was never considered to be the man of the division that was and still is Floyd.

Before Floyd officially announced his 1st retirement in June of '08 he was still considered the man at the division. And Cotto lost to Margarito in July of '08. If anything that fight was for the lineal Champsionship and Margarito won. If anything Cotto was just a title holder at 147 and not recognized champ.

I'm a newb around these parts so I assume, this site, like most, always has "that guy".

I think those with common sense could say Cotto's stock was rising and he put himself up as one of the greats to come out of PR. If Margocheato didn't do what he did, there was going to be a clash of Cotto vs. Floyd which would have been interesting to see. Before Cotto got assaulted in the ring, he established himself as a dang good boxer with good feet and power.

He did get tested early in his career, when he fought at lower weights, but, he over came those problems to become a star in the boxing world.

It drives me up the wall that cheato is still allowed to get paid to get in the ring and get a spot light. It's painfully obvious that the dude cheated. There's no way anyone can tell me that Cotto was able to take Shanes biggest shots, the same shots that dropped Margocheato, but Cotto couldnt handle Rito? Give me a break.

Regardless of whether you think Margarito cheated, he still managed to land those punches on Cotto. You know, Cotto, the good boxer with good feet and power. None of that seemed to help him against a slow plodding not very powerfull Margarito. His feet couldnt keep him away, his power couldnt deter Margarito and his boxing didnt keep him out the way of his punches either.

Mayorga hits harder and faster than Margarito and going by their (Margarito and Mayorga) Mosley fight, Mayorga takes the better shot too!

Shane only throws one punch at a time.

Like I said, at the very least. Mayorga was once the best Welter in the world and had to beat one of the top pound for pound fighters to do it

What do you mean "regardless" if he cheated? It makes a huge difference when someone is hitting you with a glove, to someone hitting you with bricks in your hands.

Shane throws one punch at a time? That margorito couldnt take? But Cotto could? Last time I checked, although margo couldnt stop Shanes over hand lefts, Shane was nailing Margo with 2-5 shots at a time, when Shane fought Cotto, he hit Cotto w/the same shots. Lets use some common sense here.

Loaded gloves gives you a huge advantage.
