Best beatles books for me:

Revolution in the head - it's actually an in depth look at every single song they recorded - it is a simply amazing pice of work

The Beatles by Hunter Davies - He spent 18 imonths with the beatles in 67 & 68 and is their only ever authorized biographer.
The Hunter Davies book is very whitewashed according to John Lennon and his later biographers. The Beatles and their people had complete control over what was allowed in the book. Which isn't to say it wouldn't be a good read, just that it's not accurate in many ways.

How can anyone hate Paul, he such a good guy.
Does he do good stuff ?
He's famous for helping the disabled. He gave millions of pounds to a one legged woman.
