It's not dead, it's just not as popular as before. You could ask 10 people at random who the heavyweight champs were, and maybe 2-3 would get one right. Where as back in Tyson days it would be around 6-7 out of 10.

Exciting i'd have to say no. But that hasn't noting to do with wlad. None of these guys are a threat to him, and his fights always end in a ko so he has no need for an extra gear. Short of taking dna from him and his brother and creating some sort of super fighter there isn't much he can do. I know we all want to see more agression and what not, but that's easy for us to say sitting here. When he's 70 sitting on top of a bunch of cash belts and two of david haye's bronzed braids in a case that he knocks off his dome and can still count his abc's and read to his grandchildren he see how smart of a move it is to hit and not get hit. I look at the sport different than most so most won't agree with me i know. I'm one of the one's who could watch a brutal KO or a twelve round decision doesn't matter to me. I like both aspects of the sport. When wlad was vulnerabe and getting beat by the likes of chris byrd no one had a problem with him. Now that he's upped his game to the point where he and his bro stand alone he's hated. Fighting for fans is always a loosing battle. I'd love to see more exciting hw fights but at the same time if i was in thier shoes i wouldn't change a thing.
