& Solis is a winner and I bet he couldn't have wished for a better scenerio...he earnt a over sized wage for 3 minutes work and will probably get a rematch and earn more for a unsuccessful crack at a title...i bet he cherished the loss like this than a legit KO which he will get in the rematch

Job Biscuit (another nail in the coffin for the heavies)!!!

    eh eh!!!

No way, yeah he got an easy payday, but so what he looked alright for the first part of 1 freaking round. That doesnt mean he was gonna do anything special. Soon as he got hit the first time, was a legit knockdown, so the round was 10-8 anyway, thats not some great achievement. He also looked like a jellybelly. No rematch any time soon if i was Vitali. He was getting knocked out if he had not injured himself anyway.

He was finding Vitali with ease... But if you go from a shot - whether it's concussive damage of the shot, or just the fact that your legs aren't strong enough to keeo balance... It doesn't matter, it's 10-8. He lost that round, the fact that he quit is moot.

He was picking klit off, but I'm not convinced that this wasn't because Vitali had little respect for Solis' resistance.

I for one figure that after screwing his knee up so badly this may be the very last time Solis is relevant as a boxer. That's sad, but until I see him after rehab and come to fight in shape, that's what I feel....Solis weighing 260 on a bum leg and fighting a big heavyweight where he's going to need that leg to be strong for movement, power, etc....I just think the guy's career is in jeopardy. Not because the fight with Vitali was bad or anything, but because Solis was still over weight and now he's got a bad leg which I doubt helps him enjoy doing roadwork if he did that to begin with.

If Solis was hurt before the bout then why fight? I know a lot of fighters have bailed on the Klitschko's recently but if it's a significant injury then don't fight, have the doctors look at it and either postpone or call off the fight.

Yeah that X ligament is now his downfall. With all that weight on top of a bad knee... Well that's curtains IMO.

Lamon Brewster came back from a knee injury but he was never a mobile heavyweight to begin with. If Solis had planned on fighting like he did vs Vitali and being very mobile he's going to find that rather difficult to do now and his punching power will surely suffer from this injury.

To be so stunned by a punch like that means Soiis has no future regardless of his knee problems. I don't think that punch would've floored a midddleweight

Yeah that's just it... Solis is gonna have to accommodate for this loss of mobility big time and TBH, I think it's pretty clear that Solis doesn't have Brewsters Beard.

    Right.
Vitali picked off his fair share of Solis' punches as well...he got hit a few times, but Solis was moving so much there was bound to be very little on them.

It all depends on how well he rehabilitates and the extent of his meniscus injury and what they do to repair it. To repair the they got to open his knee up. If he gets steroids to help in the healing, it will take less time. I know a few people that have had it done even knee replacements and it took from 3-6 months to recover. My sister had her hip replaced and after 6 weeks she didn't need a cain, but her muscles took much longer to strengthen even with the therapy. I'd imagine as long as Solis is in good condition and works hard he could get back to full strength in 6 to 8 months with an even stronger knee. As long as they do a good job on the meniscus.

....if Solis was "in good condition" before then this injury may have been avoided. I think he'll weigh 280 for his next fight.
