    Default Elizabeth Taylor Passes Away

    THREADS MERGED - BIG H

Dont know if anyone is aware of this, or even cares, but Screen siren Elizabeth Taylor passed away today after suffering illness for sometime, aged 79.

Bless her, she was a real stunner back in her pomp

    RIP Liz

I was surprised to hear she was only 79 - seems to have been a screen legend forever so I kind of thought she was in her 70s in the eighties.

Have to say I don't think I have actually ever seen any of her films

Rip to her. She was great in her younger years.

I agree, she was a fine looking woman in her hey day. Her looks kind of rotted quite early, but that tends to happen to women and more so if they tend to marry once a year. Men tend to age much better than women. You just need to compare Carey Grant at 40 with Elizabeth Taylor at 40. Night and day IMO and I don't mean that in a gay way.

Anyway, she had a good innings and it was just her time.

Its hard to see how cosmetic companies can continue to trade .
Barbra Cartland - Liz Taylor both gone , they will now have to bank on Joan Collins keeping them afloat.
