Paul Spadafora isn't a top fighter anymore, this fight should of happened when both fighters were at Lightweight.

Paul Spadafora was talented in his day but his chin wasn't great, and he did have alot of trouble vs fighters like Dorin, Sosa.

But this would of been interesting about a decade ago, but since that Paul Spadafora went to prison and hasn't fought at top level since 2003.

Seriously does Floyd Mayweather Jr need another tune up ? either fight often or just retire, don't waste the fans time but fighting once a year, and picking on fighters like this. When your supposed to be one of the top 2 P4P fighters.

Agreed with everything you said. IMO he also got a gift, hometown decision against Dorin.
Oh yea i totally agree Leonard Dorin beat him up, i remember Paul Spadafora's face being a mess. He did stand his ground and fight back, but Leonard Dorin was too much for him and ruined him on the inside.

I remember being impressed with Leonard Dorin, he had some decent wins against Emanuel Augustus, Gairy St Clair. Then the war with Raul Balbi and the robbery draw too Paul Spadafora.

He was really starting to make a name for himself, but the biggest mistake he ever made was moving up to fight Arturo Gatti. He was clearly too small and Arturo Gatti ruined him and he never comeback sadly.

This will be a walk in the park for Floyd. I hope it's a warm up for a Pac fight in the autumn. That would make it a great year for boxing.

    A link here anyway!

I wouldnt be to bothered by this fight aslong as it was a warm up fight and he takes on Pac in his next fight. Otherwise this fight is a joke there is only one winner.

Easy money for Floyd and a good fight that can be marketed easily. Past history between the 2, both undefeated and both women beaters; Not sure how the latter would sell but the trash talking could get interesting. It should have happened a while ago but if Mayweather looks good and destroys Spaddy then it will build the Pacman fight up that much further. I would like to see this fight done on free television (I know it wont happen) because that would put big time boxing back on the map and Mayweather has the personality to get people to watch and sell it.

I call bullshit on this one. There's absolutly no question who would win this fight. People as a whole pay to see floyd loose, and there's no chance of that here. I can't see 10 people giving a crap about this fight.

....I'm no Floyd fan, but I'd watch this fight, I won't fork out PPV money for it, but I'd watch it AND I'd cheer for Floyd! I'm not going to buy it being a competitive or serious fight, I just want to see Spadafora get the shit kicked out of him.
