In terms of achievement Hatton all the way, in terms of potential for greatness, NAZ.

Hamed. Easily. Hatton never beats Tszyu without his tag team partner Dave Paris.
Its a tough one , but as i cant stand the limbo dancing floppy eared prick Hamed , then i will go for Hatton.
Hatton all the way for me. Naz was flashier, but Hatton had the graft. As has been pointed out, Naz never beat a Kostya. Though Hatton lost his biggest fights, they were against people on a better roll than Barrera who had already been humbled by Junior Jones twice
i dont think hatton got 'found out' at all, its not as if he ever lost to an average boxer and the pac fight was clearly at the end of his carear when the punch resistance had gone
to the debate - hamed had the more tallent, he could have been an all time great but didnt have the dedication, even when his career took off in america he wasnt training properly
hatton probably acheived more (slightly) so id say him, although hamed could have been so much more

Junior Jones was very good in his prime, he also beat Orlando Canizales who was past his prime but still and impressive win.
Junior Jones's downfall was his chin and lack of motivation, but at his best he could very easily upset Naseem Hamed he had a great jab and a heck of a right hand.
As for the topic there actually both quite similar in a few ways, when they both first went to the USA they both had real problems. Ricky Hatton with Luis Collazo, Naseem Hamed with Kevin Kelley.
Both men never truly recovered from there first loss, although atleast Ricky Hatton had a few decent wins unlike Naseem Hamed.
But its hard to seperate them, Naseem Hamed probably had the slightly better resume. But Ricky Hatton had Kostya Tszyu who was better than anyone on Naseem Hamed's win sheet.
They were both dominant at one weightclasses, but Naseem Hamed made more title defenses and was dominant for a longer period.
And if they fought P4P, i think Naseem Hamed would blast Ricky Hatton out of there.

I'd back a 9 stone Hamed to spark a 10 stone Hatton.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
Charley Burley
Naz was the official p4p number one as I said before and him and Roy jones were always out pound for pounding eachother
Official P4P no.1 where? Naz was in The Ring's top ten P4P through the late 90s into 2000 not no.1 though.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
just looked back through Ring ratings and highest I can find him is no. 6 May 2000.
Not doing this to prove you wrong fella but was just curious myself as to how high he did actually get. Of course there may have been some other body that ranked him higher but no way would I ever have put him in top 5.

This is a borderline mismatch. Hatton was absoulutely made for the Naz fella. Prime Naz wins by devastating sparkage in three.
AS for records -
Naz beat the lineal and WBA champ Vazquez (stripped at last minute for making unification match instead of mandatory). Also took the WBC, IBF and WBO titles. During his reign beat 9 "world" champions. P4P top 10 rated. Lost on PTS to an all-time great.
Hatton beat the lineal and IBF champ Tsyzu. Also took the WBA title. During his reign beat 5 other "world" champions. P4P top ten rated. Lost by KO to two all-time greats.
Hatton has the most high profile victory - Kostya. Naz was by far the more dominant champion.
Naz over Hatton everytime. Fact.
