Me too Ricky Hatton's chin was never that great, and Naseem Hamed's power for his size was incredible.
in his prime hattons chin was phenominal

he took everything tzu had to throw

he fought with his face, if his chin wasnt that great he wouldnt have made it to british level never mind a world wide star

Hatton probably had the better resume as far as names go but I think Naseem was the more dominant champion. Also, I think Hamed was the better athlete and the better boxer of the two.

wow there's no question in my mind that hamed is the p4p better fighter. yea he got spanked by MAB, but he had much more talent then hatton. Hamed was a creative and elusive boxer.yea he didnt really beat any great fighters but neither did ricky hatton. Fatton's best win was against an old tszyu and he only won that fight cuz biased ref let him rabbit punch hold and wrestle tszyu, other than that win dont see what's so special bout him. he's a little john ruiz always clinching holding while hitting tieing up you can call that inside fighting but plenty of fighters can fight on the inside wthout over using the clinch. brits luv to nuthugg hatton and always mention him on this site but i'd say he's more of a fan favorite then a legit p4p boxer. he beat paulie, carlos maussa and an worn out castillo (I thought he lost that fight against callazo) but got exposed and showed he didnt belong in the ring with floyd or pacman. sry for this mess of a post im a couple brews in and quite baked.cheers!

Hamed was fun while he boxed old men and second raters , he had become totally relient on his power when he boxed MAB , a combination of the wrong trainers and the fact he had fought to many second rate fighters , any of the durable greats would have beaten that Hamed.
His leaping angles he gave in early fights were all but gone , he became a one paced power puncher with no defence.

wtf this is making as much sense as your drinking style, which relies heavily upon finding the cheapest bilge water available and hyping it at luncheons as being top-notch brew.

Mmmm personally although a fan of both fighters I also feel let down by both - Naz for 'just quitting' and Ricky for his lack of dedication when it came to 100% dedication between fights.... Out of the the 2...well I'd probably go for Naz - if for nothing else than one of the most enjoyable fights against Kevin Kelly - the same night I went to see Reid lose to Malinga..... Actually watched the fight with next door neighbour who was Colin Harts brother as we couldn't afford sky....what a night!

Ok im saying Hamed looked good and was fun to watch when he fought older fighters past their best or fighters just below the top so to speak.
As i stated , by the time he fought MAB , he was totally relient on power , gone were his angles and jack in a box unpredictability.
Any of the great fighters such as Nelson , Morales , etc , who could take his power , would school him.
His lack of angles also made him pretty easy to hit as MAB showed.
I hope this clears it up.
Please feel free to disagree , let me hear your thoughts guys n gals.

Manny Steward says Morales was made for Naz. Too upright, too willing to trade. He wanted that fight instead of Barrera.

He also says Naz only lost to Barrera because he didn't train properly or respect him. I'm not sure that's true, however the "Little Prince" film showed Naz had completely lost the plot and clearly didn't give Barrera any respect.

I blame Allah. Naz put too much faith in that dude...
