Seem to recall Lamps and Merchant getting into it with George quite a bit. He'd often go offscript and just go on...case of Lampley saying something assnine (often) and Foreman calling him out on it here haha

foreman is a preacher. and therefore any religious bigotry or even trash-talking would be offensive to him, no matter which religion it involved. i think lampley just was totally oblivious to his own outburst there. i dont really think it was religious bigotry but it sounds that way to the listeners and foreman knew it.
I think it is fair to diss anything, especially religion. But if you are to diss one religion then you should diss all of them. Likewise, if anyone wants to have a rant about atheists then that is cool too. Anything goes with me and I am not going to punch anyone in the mouth over it. As a 'pro' commentator you do need to watch your words more than other people though and Lampley didn't do that, but I don't care. It was funny.
I think it is quite obvious that Barrera could take Allah over 12. Pacquiao would probably knock him clean out. But I am not being biased. Pac could likely beat the shit out of Buddha, God and all those other omnipotent prima donna's too.
DLA was there, ask HIM about Hamed's angles, or lack thereof.
Not that I have anything against people taking shots at religion or people's religious convictions, but there is a time and place for everything and a world championship boxing broadcast is not the time or the place.
Not to mention the line STUNK.
Good for Big George.
To be fair, Goblin boy did bring it upon himself...
I don't think the religion itself was being made fun of, just the way hamed acted about it.
Lampley is a grade A cunt though... so was merchant...
Right, and believe me I'm the first one to groan when a pro boxer brings god into sports. It's rediculous IMO that these guys believe an almighty creator would be giving them the strength to give another man a brain injury.
But it was obvious that Lampley wanted to take a shot at the ultra cocky Nas, he just chose the wrong avenue IMO.
you got to love lamply. And Foreman, I miss him as a commentator.
