Default How long would Duran last against Foreman?

Seriously, say a prime Duran and a prime Foreman fought. Could Duran manage to survive for 5 or 6 rounds by running and countering? Always wanted to see a lighter fighter fight a really heavier fighter just to see what could happen.

What about a prime Sugar Ray Leonard vs a prime Evander Holyfield? How long could these lighter fighters survive and could they on an odd night even WIN?? Could a sharp Duran shot really hurt Foreman if it was on the button?

Duran was a fantastic fighter, but it's nuts to imagine him in against Foreman. Just as it's nuts to imagine Pac in there with Wlad. Both would get knocked out quite quickly IMO. They just wouldn't be able to get in and out without taking punishment. We are talking massive differences in size and weight here, not a few piffling weight divisions.

Thomas Hearns vs Mike Tyson is the better match up.

Nah how about Ricardo Lopez against Vitali? That's a much more interesting fight!

Thomas Hearns wouldn't have lasted a minute agaisnt Tyson.

You gotta remember that not only are the HW's punches going to destroy the smaller guy when they land, but the HW will just come at the smaller man non-chalantly, without having to respect their power.

As soon as George found Duran with the wind of his punch.

Most Heavyweights would crumble if George found them.

A more interesting question would be how would Eric Esch ("______") hold up against George.

Not well at all. Completely different levels. Butterbean fought a very aged Larry Holmes and got beat in what I begrudgingly call his prime (the fat bastard). If he was to fight a prime George Foreman I would put everything I own on not hearing the bell to end the first round and a reinforced stretcher being needed to carry Esch from the Arena, fighting for his life may I add.

I once listened to a radio show where they discussed Foremans power and they asked a doctor how an everyday man who doesn't train his neck muscles to take big punches etc off a pro boxer, would go on if Foreman hit them and the doctor just basically said that their neck would more than likely be broken. That is some seriously frightening power.
