i've always said it, anyone with a decent straight right hand and good power will ruin Kirkland, he's lucky he never got his crack at Forrest (RIP) cause Vernon (even at that point of his career) would have dominated Kirkland

Yeh man I gotta agree on Forrest. Kirkland has great intensity but Forrest was in another class.

We all want the best fighting the best. The fact of the matter is, Manny's opponent is hand-picked. Where do the winner of the main event go for their next fight?
what's the possibility of the winner
    vs JMM
    vs Pacman
    vs Bradley
    vs Khan

Winky pulled out. Some say weight problems. Some say injury. But a solid Winky at 154 is a problem for anybody.
    Dream match up . . .
    Prime Winky vs todays Martinez
    Dream match up

Man you need to have bigger and better dreams.

I've just realised how good this card is.

Every fighter will be up for scrapping and I can see some brawls going on! I'm really looking forward to it, prob more than I have been about a card for ages.

I can see Katsidis winning that one. It's gonna take a lot to beat him.
I don't think it will. Katsidis is pretty much a punching bag to the elite fighters. He's token a lot of punishment in his career. He's coming off a fight that except for like 20 seconds was pretty much one-sided. Kenny Bayless did him a huge favor stopping it when he did. Cuz Marquez was pretty much landing all his power shots flush. There's a good chance Katsidis is done. Guerrero I think is a bad styles match up for him. If Katsidis can't hurt him it will be a long night for him. I see him getting cut to shreds and stopped in the middle rounds

I agree. I like Kastidis and he's been getting some big money fights recently so good for him, but he has the wrong trajectory here. Not that I'm super high on Guerrero, I believe he will be beat by a lot of the top fighters, but Kastidis isn't a top level guy.

I don't like backing fighters coming off a stoppage loss, especially a guy like Katsidis that has been battered a million times and, as Rantcatrat and VD said, his career is heading in the wrong direction.

However, maybe a little bet on Katsidis stoppage, or even more likely a slightly bigger bet on the fight to NOT go the distance is the way forward - then I can cheer both fighters

Is Morales chances that slim to beating MM? I'm giving him a good chance. In fact, I can see Morales fighting Mayweather in 4th quarter.

I'm actually less opposed to this fight than the proposed Rios-Barrera matchup. Morales has shown enough for me against Limond & the like that he's not quite as shot as MAB & at least Maidana's one punch power means he likely won't take a sustained beating. In contrast, I think Barrera will take that beating against Rios, who is actually more accurate with his punches than Maidana.

I think Katsidis will stop Guerrero. Escobedo & Casa both looked to stun him with not particularly big punches so if he gets caught with one of Kats hooks, he's done imo. The fact he was able to drop & at least compete with an ATG in JMM tells me that he'll have more than enough for Guerrero. Plus going off Guerrero's at times suspect stamina, I think Katsidis will be infinitely better prepared.

Oh & I'm still high on Kirkland, I think the changes Adams will make will seem him have anyone at 154 within the year. Then 160, where I do think Martinez beats him.
