I agree, boxing politics are concerned with star power not culture, who can bring in the biggest bucks. All time best are

1. Oscar De La Hoya (Mexican American)
2. Sugar Ray Leonard (African American)
3. Julio Cesar Chavez (Could not even speak english and had plenty of suspect victories.
4. Naseem Hamed ( Was huge in the United States but not focused and he was a Brit)
5. RJJ ( Watching him in his tux on HBO and the smerk he had on his face made me think he would kiss himself on the lips if he could, but the public was loving it.

All of these fighter have different cultures, races, or background but still they benefited from their star power. Karmazin and Spinks have none, and nobody cares. I left out the top earners which are the Heavyweights on purpose
