Didnt see the fight but sounds like the Barrera fight. Khan headbutts his way to a stoppage and a hometwon decision.
Lets hope Bradley gives him a taste of his own medicine in his next fight.

Sounds like the opposite to me, the first sign of a cut and they stop it. Barrera was cut to the skull and they wouldn't stop until it would go to points.
Still, it was hometown bias and the result of a butt.
Once again you have to question the matchmaking and officiating that the Brits gets. All the big fights overseas and then chump change and homecooking at home.
Nobody can be satisfied with that.

Poppycock and humbug.
In both cases it was hometown bias completely favouring the domestic fighter. Different individuals involved, but the same old motivations.
Are you telling me Barrera should have been allowed to go on beyond the second round?
Are you telling me that this fight should have been stopped?
I'm sure if you are unbiased then you will agree with me and say 'no' on both counts.
I don't think McKloskey would have done anything particularly upsetting if allowed to continue. He was never expected to, but at least allow an undefeated fighter to go on. He wasn't taking massive punishment and the cut in this instance was minor. It was an extremely poor stoppage and these things are beginning to be a regular occurence when it comes to Khan fights in the UK.
It is a farce that makes British boxing look comical.
How did stopping the fight against Mckloskey favour Khan? He's already lost a fortune on this card and a premature stoppage like that does nothing to help him build his appeal stateside or win over his haters in the UK.
He was hoping for a big homecoming and between Sky and the awful stoppage it's all gone badly wrong, and through no fault of his own.
Even you agree he pitched a shutout, winning every single round on every single scoredcard. What he did need saving from exactly?
Just to make it clear, I am in agreement that it was a premature stoppage. I just think it damaged Khan's win rather than helped him in any way.
McKloskey was full of it after the fight but fuck all during it, does anyone actually think differently about how the fight was going?
Khan gets the win and an early night. Less rounds and less chance for anything to happen. I don't care how much money he has lost or about his appeal, but the early stoppage means this filler is over and it's time for the next fight overseas. Fans of either fighter have been shortchanged by this stoppage, but ultimately Khan has been able to have an easier night than he should have done because of the poor judgement of the ringside officials.
I agree that he was winning the fight, but my argument is a simple one. You don't stop an unbeaten fighter who isn't getting hurt on a minor headbutt induced cut. It is just plain wrong. And it is once again an incident on a Khan bill in the UK. You stop a fight on a cut that needs over 50 stiches, you don't stop that.
It was quite absurd.
I thought the stoppage was an utter joke. Especially considering I had money riding on McCLoskey to win by KO, and FULLY expected his chance to come in the second half of the fight. I actually thought his plan was working great, apart from the fact he was losing 6-0 ().
However, you are still a child (well, immature moany old fart). Barrera gets given a chance to win the fight. It's a conspiracy. The fight should have been instantly stopped. McCLoskey gets instantly stopped. It's a conspiracy. He should have been allowed to continue.
You're a shameless hypocrite. Fact.

I am not being a hypocrite in the slightest.
They are two seperate and distinct incidents with equally dubious officiating.
You admit yourself that the stoppage was a joke. So, we agree on that one. But you don't think Barrera with blood spurting out of his head from a gash to the skull should have been protected?
As I say, they are completely distinct events, but with extremely dodgy decision making behind both of them. There is no paradox in pointing out that it is the decision making that shows little consistency and both times is extreme.
You are the one being immature with taunts about being childish and other insults etc. I am simply pointing out the facts.

Berto:Ortiz and Khan: McCloskey illustrate everything we love and hate about this sport; from the fighting to the sportsmanship; what a contrast.
Khan can't help himself, maybe his entourage is too much dead weight. Prescott, the hope of the Maidana fight, the mysterious hotel break-in and now this. I would root for Ortiz or Berto over him. As far as Bradley goes; he was half of the co-worst fight of the year.
Anyone fancy a guess on the PPV numbers? I'm not thinking many.
Of all the people on here that watched it, 99% did so on a stream.
Khan is a protected fighter, protected by his fans, and protected by the promotions. I really dont understand how someone could like that guy, he comes off as a complete prick to me. If he was not in the same class as McCloskey then why couldnt he stop him without headbutting him? Khan was kind of responsible for that headbutt, he put his head into it. You dont see anyone mentioning that. Khan talks smack about Bradley then does the same thing.
Hahahahahaha! Your crazy! Completely bananas!
A southpaw and orthodox fighter clash heads and you wanna act like its something new?! This is madness!![]()
I know I cant change your opinion of Amir Khan but let me just say that it is clear that when you say things like 'Amir Khan comes off as a complete prick' it says a lot more about you as a person than it does Amir Khan
And that goes for all of you lol!
