    The biggest sporting event in the world is probably the super bowl or maybe the world cup final. Imagine if they decided that they were the biggest events and so decided they would be PPV. It would cause uproar!

    Yes the sports would still make lots of money, but the advertising structure means it is not needed. If only boxing could take a leaf out of that book.

    Even showing the delayed fights on terrestrial TV would be a step in the right direction for the big boxing fights. Is that what they intend to do with Shane v Pac Man?

    I don't know but they should. That would be a brilliant idea. Hell if they rebroadcast it in prime time hours let's say 3 days after the fight, it would still do great ratings.

    All I know is that boxing needs to go back on network tv if it wants to survive.

    They should show delayed highlights of the fight, when I say highlights, I mean the whole fight.

    I take it they will not then. I just thought that was the idea. Even here they showed delayed coverage of Galzaghe v Hopkins, Hatton v Mayweather, Tyson v Bruno 1.
