Ouma, u know Bush clearly covered up the death. I mean, how else could he have written his memoirs with his biggest regret being not being able to capture bin Laden. People aren't just going to turn away that sort of revenue.

Word is Bush wanted to let it out during his re-election campaign to seal the victory but the big three (Warren Buffett, Trainer Monkey, and Han Solo) told him to shut the fuck up, we've got grand strategy to worry about.

There appears to have been no good reason why he could not have been taken alive. I am really quite dismayed that our sense of justice has come to this. We first of all lie about our account to make it seem more heroic, but it is just fabrication. And then what really happens appears to have been a cat topying with a mouse. We really had to put a bullet in the brain of the mouse? This could have been brilliant, a real chance to put a criminal in the dock, to have all the charges laid out, but instead we resorded to crude murder....much like the terrorists we so malign. The elite have so much contempt for rules and order and it really calls into question their integrity. What could have been something significant has simply perpetuated an already empty and pointless 'war on terror'. Terror is such an empty word, it is like 1984. We must have perpetual war with an invisible enemy and every now and then we will get these stories to suggest that we are winning, but it really never ends. Winston Smith appears to be stuck in stasis, it's groundhog day everyday.
Johan Hari is fast becoming my favourite journalist. A very good article indeed.

you believe in spaghetti monsters?
point is, no one is going to sign their name to a failure of that magnitude, given all the costs, in lives, dollars, and reputation falsely. As much as there is/was to dislike about him and his policies, it is one of the few truths he was capable of, if even in hindsight.

It was only a failure if their goal was to kill Bin Laden. But if their goal was merely to use him as a face for the war on terror in order to carry out their agenda in the Middle East how did they fail?
Was it a failure that they didn't find WMD's in Iraq or did they only use that claim as a pretext for going in?
Were they really concerned about the loss of life in Vietnam? Certainly not the Viet Cong they werent, Nixon wanted to nuke them all or blows the dams and dykes to drown them all in their villages.
Capturing Bin Laden and the war on terror was never their goal, that was merely the false flag story they told in order to carry out their aims. Bit difficult to justify going into Afghanistan and Iraq if they have done nothing to you.
you keep moving the goal posts bilbo. deflecting the point because you are on weak ground. if reason and logic don't fit, you just move on to something else. zomg guys, it can't be true..pearl harbor, remember?
