The only other part about that article that I have some issue with is the part about the Pakistanis shielding him because of what we did. He's speaking in the sense of how Pakistani people would look at us, not their government. And I have no issues with how Pakistani people might think of us. But their have been questions about the Pakistani government (especially their intelligence network) and their connections with Al-Qaeda long before anything we did to them. Basically it seems that they like our aid money but not much else.

TBH I've heard alot of people dont like Pakistani's for some reason. Used to have an teammate on the volleyball team who was Afghani, and really hated Pakistanis. I know India hates them. Anyone care to enlighten me on this or is it just India and my friend from high school?![]()

"Afghans" is a very general and nebulous term but generally speaking they don't like Pakistan b/c they believe much of the issues in their country are exacerbated by Pakistani meddling. Of course the Pashtuns largely disregard the Durand line as a whole. India hates them over the disputed Kashmir region.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Pakistan formed from a piece of India's land? Since Muslims didn't get along with the HIndus and demanded their own land after the end of British colonization? So there is that historical animosity there that probably plays a major part.
I read somewhere that some problems were caused when there were a load of Afghanis flooding into Pakistan when they were fighting the Soviets. Don't know for sure though. And yeah obviously Pakistan and India hate each other.
Edit: Van's explanation sounds better than mine.
