Im amazed at responses to this. You guys do realise that this is all bad press for boxing right? Yes Margarito cheated and hes an arsehole (bad press for boxing) but the media doesnt see this as a good thing, theyd turn this into a "boxing is too dangerous' article.

Career ending injuries too ANYONE in a fight does no favours for the sport. Margarito was punished by the boxing authorities for what he has done, he doesnt need to die in the ring to make up for it.

A year out of the sport then to return and earn then return to earn MILLIONS from a fight with the world's #1 fighter is NOT punishment.

I remember an interview with Nazeem Richardson where he was talking about both wrappings incident and he clearly said that Tito did only some "abrazive" to the rules where Margarito was plainly cheating. There is a huge difference between not wrapping hands correctly or introducing some lethal material in it. Tito was more of a minor infraction where Margarito was plainly criminal.

Please man such is an apples and oranges argument. Tito never inserted cement plugs into his wraps and instead was told to re-wrap because of gauze direction. His dad wrapped the same way his entire career and the gloves were signed off each time. What Margarito did was quite different. Instead of pulling the stuffing out like Lewis did with Resto,they added. The intent was the same. And if you are going to label Tito a cheater you better label Oscar and Roach cheaters. Oscar would use twisted packing tape in his wraps and he was never called on it and under Roach's watch. I could care less if Margarito ever boxed again. Resto gets 3 years in jail and is never licensed to box again.Fast forward to 2011 and Margaresto get a multi million dollar pay day. Pathetic.
