Career ending injuries too ANYONE in a fight does no favours for the sport. Margarito was punished by the boxing authorities for what he has done, he doesnt need to die in the ring to make up for it.
The mainstream sports media doesn't give two shits about boxing anymore. This isn't even a blip on their radar.
