I hope Haye clocks this guy good but in fairness to Wlad he was absolutely punched out and did not know how to clinch in that fight.

look man, ive seen boxers punch themselves out, but wlad took one slight punch and it was over

even if he was a bit tired that wasnt a show of someone who can take a punch

I think Wlad is definitely chinny, but in that fight it was all about stamina imo. When he tried to get up at the end of that round, it was sheer exhaustion stopping him.

this is back when he tried to like pressure fight and volume punch and brewster was the first guy he couldnt stop, but he was landing so many clean punches he just kept pushing himself and gassed out BAD


after that fight the genral belief was that wladimirs stamina was what would keep him from ever being successful, people didnt even blame that on his chin at the time, even people who were hating on him, they were just saying he had no cardio

honestly haye HAS to have the worst chin of anyone klitschko has ever fought since winning a world title like 12 years ago, and the hardest punches haye has ever fought is probably like monte barrett

Lets not forget that Haye is no Chuvalo either and if Wlad lands a right hand flush David is going into a coma. After all is said and done, this is a who lands first fight. Wlad never saw the Sanders punch because of the southpaw angle. Interesting to see if Haye can do the same thing using speed from the other side.

Wlad got caught by Sanders only partially because Sanders was a southpaw but mainly because Wlad wasn't fighting tall which gave Sanders the angle and negated Wlad's reach and height advantages.

The WBA title holder is talented, but I just think the style match up is all wrong for him he's never fought a puncher this powerful or a boxer this technically sound.

That is true mate they both hit hard enough to ko each other, but for me Wlad is to big to strong, Haye struggled to thrown anything meanignful against Valuev and was ont he back foot all night I can't see how he controls this fight at all.

It's not exactly an original sentiment to say Wlad has a poor chin. He does. But he's learned to compensate for it, he hasn't been hurt in a fight since 2005 thanks to his cautious new approach. Haye is chinny himself and still does the same dumb stuff like carrying his left by his kneecaps because he's used to taking the approach of bombing the other guy out as quick as possible. He won't be able to take the kind of pummelling Brewster took for 5 rounds, so unless he's been working on his defensive skills in secret he's getting KO'd in this one. If his plan is to leap in and throw a few bombs then he'll be disapointed when he gets hit with 20 jabs before he's in range and clinched the second he's in close enough to do any damage.

The WBA title holder and his fans say he's got at least a handspeed advantage....I don't really see it that way. Wlad has very good handspeed and and even better timing, plus that jab of his should neutralize anything his opponent can throw at him especially considering his opponent was put on the back foot by Nicolay Valuev.

if you're going to use a fight for why Haye would have success. Just bring up the DaVarryl Williamson fight. He goated Wladimer into a lot of counter right hands off the back foot and even dropped him with one and laid a few traps. The only thing you can really take form the Brewster fight thats relevant now is that Wladimir can be caught with a counter jab,
