The 2000 Shane Mosley was a completely different fighter to what we saw against Pacman, let's not forget that Mosley since 2002 has had 17 fights and has a 8-7-1 record with 1 NC.
Not all that flatterring is it? We saw the best of Shane Mosley in the first DLH fight, he hasn't been the same since the 2nd DLH fight. I hope he retires now as it was kinda sad watching him just trying to survive against the Pacman. Shane Mosley at Lightweight at his peak gives both Manny and Floyd one helluva time in the ring.

shane stops both of them late. Possibly PBF early.

I think Mosley had the right kind of gameplan to fight Manny, but because of age and in particular because of what happened against Floyd he was unwilling or perhaps just unable to let the punches go. He knew he couldn't risk gassing against Manny. He neutralised Manny's output very well, but just wasn't throwing with conviction. There were long stretches of rounds where he was stepping away, but just throwing nothing. He should have been moving, but keeping Manny off with a consistent jab. There were obvious moments where Manny was jumping in and Mosley was just not willing to let the right go or follow it up with combinations. The younger Mosley was much faster and would have been much less hesitant. The size difference would have played a part and Mosley wasn't much slower than Manny himself.

Would have been a good fight and I could see body shots slowing Manny down followed by a stoppage late on.

All dick and no balls on the 7th day of May, 2011... it must've also been the same given any day in 2000....

So can easily be concluded.. lest one particular, have had surgically lost balls in between... had they gotten this fight on then, result would still have been the same --- a disgusting mockery of the sport!

    Without balls you...

Run, run, and run.... Shame, Mosley.

Shane Mosley gets destroyed by Pacquiao pound for pound.

    - The original Sugar Ray Robinson totally annihilates Pacquiao though

    - Same with the next sugar. Ray Leonard absorbs everything and anything Pac dishes out and wins a decision maybe even late KO/TKO

    - That 6'2 dude named Thomas Hearns also beats Pacquiao decisively whether by outboxing him or knocking him out at 147.

The Lightweight version of Mosley (if assuming as p4p) would be very hard to back against. I think p4p prime for prime, Mosley v either is a 'pick em' I think PBF beats him, but maybe he 'figures' Manny out and wins a decision

You could say that Manny couldn't put a very past his best Shane away, but also remeber than Manny was fighting way above his natural weight, so it's not a fair comparison.
