Nonito is a beast way too fast if Montiel couldn't handle him Arce doesn't stand a chance in hell.

The only version of Arce that stands a chance was the 2005/2006 version of him.

    Really Julius... Arce is garbage.
A garbage fighter is a WBO Light Fly champ, WBC Light Fly champ 7 defenses, WBC Interim Fly champ (the Interim bullshit was because a real garbage of a fighter by the name of PongsaShit refused to fight him) and I wont even bother listing the WBO Super Fly title because that shit was pulled out of someones ass Angkot nor did Arce had any business being in that ring fighting for that title.
Now he just won the WBO Super Bantam title off a young undefeated champ.
It's not just that he's won titles but he's fought top opposition since the begining of his career 1996. Darchiyan, Carbajal, Romero, Gamboa, Burgos, Cordoba, Alvarez, Rubillar, Choi, Hussein, Castro, Mijares, Rojas, Castillo and now Vasquez Jr.
I'm not claiming Arce as an ATG but garbage he's not. He's an excellent body puncher and he could actually box really well as seen in his bout vs. Carbajal among others.
I've often said that the lower weights need to be looked at differently then the higher weights. Remember that in the lower weights careers tend to be shorter, which means you can have only 10 fights but already be a top contender and or a champ. Careers aren't build up as much as other weight classes. I mean for example Eagle Junlaphan considered one of the best just 18-2, Yutaka Niida 23-2-3, Hideyuki Ohashi 19-5, Zolani Petelo 17-5-2, Yoko Gushiken 23-1, Chan-Hee Park 17-4-2, Sung-Kil Moon 20-2 to name a few. These are guys who are p4p some of the best from the lower weights. Sure the records don't stand a chance in comparison by numbers to those of Duran, Arguello, JCC and Monzon but again that's because things are different with the small guys.
Arce's record stands at 57-6-2 with titles and big names. His best weight class was Light Fly and for me he's somewhere in the top 6 of that weight class along with Gonzalez, Carbajal, Zapata, Chang & Yuh.

And I agree with the 2nd part of your post. Donaire would quite possibly send him into retirement.

As fine a warrior as they come, Jorge Arce against Nonito stands no chance at victory whatsoever.

He is a bit past his prime and relies mainly on toughness to outslug his foes, overwhelm them or get the wins by decision.

He is stll a champion and an accomplished combatant but against Donaire, as the saying goes that styles make fights, Jorge's toughness will not temper, neither will it stymie the killer counter left, the staple knockout producer of the former, that will own his name.

If anything, Arce's perpetually going forward style shall spell a surefire disaster against Nonito Jr. It can even be considered a real health risk for the Mexican warrior if this fight ever takes place.

I do not see Arce altering his gameplan to a level effective enough to offset the skill and physical advantages that Nonito Donaire has over him, therefore, Donaire by easy KO.
