I heard George Foreman was avoiding him, when they were both in there 40's making there comeback. But i don't know if thats true or not, but what i do know. Is that Larry Holmes's comeback was very underrated.

He beat up Ray Mercer, lost a close decision to Evander Holyfield. And deserved to be world champion at 45 but lost a razor thin close decision to Oliver McCall, which i think he won 7 rounds to 5.

I think the George Foreman that knocked out Joe Frazier in 1973 and destroyed Ken Norton in 1974 beats just about everybody. Ali worked him out, he fought an unconventional fight and George wasn't ring savvy enough to alter the game plan accordingly.
Tyson would have been smashed inside 2 rounds, look what he did to Smokin Joe! Tyson would have just walked right into a George thunderbolt!
Holmes was a good enough boxer to perhaps outpoint him, he survived the Shavers knockdown and could take a punch, Lewis would be counting sheep.

Holmes just flat out schooled Mercer...sort of picked up where Damiani left off before his nose was turned into a fire hose by Mercer. That was fun to watch. Holmes did well in run but had more then a few part time stunt doubles along the way. Still can't figure what that Paul poieir (?) thing was. If you didnt catch his fight with Quinn Navarre check it out see what you think. Been a while but I thought Navarre just boxed Holmes silly...bit of a rob job.

I've heard the Quinn Navarre fight was close, i haven't seen it though anywhere on the net. I've seen the Maurice Harris fight, and i have to admit despite Larry Holmes being one of my favourite boxers.

He did get a gift in that fight, but then again the man was in his late 40's, so i can forgive him for that. And remember he also had a few fights that should of gone his way. Spinks 2, Nielsen, McCall, so all in all it probably even's itself out.

Foreman thought he was drugged before the Ali fight, and judging by the way he fought, i believe him. I've never seen George so inaccurate and wild with his punches.

No way Foreman smokes Tyson in 2. Tyson was a far superior fighter than Frazier in his prime IMO. He had underrated defence, was much faster and hit much harder too. Foreman would have had a tough time landing clean and would find Tyson hard to hurt too. Prime Tyson had great stamina and stayed active for the full 12 rounds. With prime Foreman there are question marks about his stamina and his defence wasn't the best.

He would have eaten Tysons power punches and I can see Tyson either stopping him or else settling for an easy points win. Tyson in his own way would have been the stronger and bigger man despite being shorter. He was a generation later and fighters were a good 10-20 pounds heavier then.

I see him being too much for Big George. Too quick, too technically adept and ultimately able to punch just as hard if not harder.

Short, stocky, short armed heavyweights with a bobbing and weaving style are tailor made for Foreman. Just see his destruction of Joe Frazier. I can definitely imagine Tyson eating a few uppercuts from Foreman just like Frazier. And guess what? Tyson was vulnerable to the uppercut, see Tyson-Douglas where the right uppercut stunned Tyson and set up the knockout, and see the Tyson-Tucker fight in round 1 where Tyson was stunned with an uppercut, see Lewis-Tyson where he was hurt by the uppercut in round 1. So I say Foreman punches harder than any of those guys and if he times Tyson just like he timed Frazier with the uppercuts it's over. Tyson got wobbled and was seriously hurt by Bonecrusher Smith in the last 10 seconds of the fight, imagine if it was prime Foreman?

And Foreman in his prime weighed 215-230 depending on the foe, so Foreman would not be smaller than Tyson. Tyson would not be able to intimidate and bully Foreman, not to mentioned Tyson does have stamina problems, he even stated this in his 2009 documentary citing that he has a lung problem and it was a good thing many of his fights ended early.
